Problem updating

I have been playing FfH 2 0.22 for a while now, and I just went to upgrade to 0.23 today. Trouble is, this is my first time "upgrading" a Civ 4 mod, and due to its unique way it implements its mods, I seem to have messed something up. When I upgraded, I merged my 0.22 folders with my 0.23 ones, keeping all the 0.23 files. Apparently this was not the right thing to do, as whenever I enter a game there is no menu display. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the full install of 0.22 and 0.23 patch c.

you need the complete download of 0.23 and then the most recent 0.23 patch. the 0.22 files won't be sufficient, you can in fact delete them if you don't plan on playing any more .22 games.

You shouldnt have merged them. 0.22 and 0.23 are major release changes so you have to redownload all, not only the patches.

Remember, you have the core release that you have to redownload each time a number changes [0.22->0.23] and patches with have no media files, onle the game core file and python/xml. You only need the most recen patch each time but its number has to corespond to the major release number.

In other words patches 0.23 'a' to 'c' are only for 0.23 release. Just download the 0.23 mod, install it and apply 0.23c to it.
