In my current game on the Europe huge map, when an AI player grant independance to its colonies (they are on the British Isles) and I end the turn it doesnt process to next turn, its processing endlessly. I tried to reload and change the conditions (war with others, tech trade etc..) but with no success. I assume I have the latest version since the check updates indicate I have the good version.
