So it was recently reported that when a coop war promise is made between an AI and a human, if the AI declares war early, the human is dragged in. This is intended.

(I'm attempting to resolve the issue with the AI often declaring war early.)

But the bug is that apparently when the human declares war early, the AI is not dragged in. To debug this, I'd need a save file one turn before the agreement was made and a save file one turn before you declare war early and the AI is unintentionally released from its promise.

If anyone can provide these in the latest version, let me know.

I wasn’t aware of this change. I’m also not a fan of it - it seems to eliminate the distinction between agreeing to an immediate coop war and agreeing to do so after 10 turns. The 10 turn build up is crucial in some instances. I wouldn’t agree to the coop war in some instances - and won’t now - since doing so may cause me to be in a war earlier.

There’s another downside to the automatic coop wars that I think was unintended. What if your coop war target makes a defensive pact with or becomes the vassal of an AI that you have a Declaration of Friendship with?

In the first instance, you won't get any backstabbing penalties. In the second, the war is cancelled.
