Problem with loading my saved game

Hi,

I start a game normally,and then i save it.By the time i would like to load it,the list at the right is empty,and i cant find any savegame,so cant load it.

Any idea how to fix it?

Patch ver 1.74.

What's your OS, and did you install the game following the instructions given by kiwitt (sticky thread on top of this forum)?

Are there any subfolders listed on the left half of the load screen? If so, look in those. You may just not be deep enough in the folder tree. OTOH, you may be in a subfolder and need to go up a level on the left half of the screen.

First of all thank you for your answers.

There is no problem saving a gaming.The saved game goes to the "My Documents" file,where i can see them(from my Computer no from Civ4).
I cant see any of them through my Load Game section on Civ4.In order to find them on the list of Load Game,i have to go to my Documents,then copy paste to subfolder My Games/Sid Meiers Civ4/Saves.Only this way can show them on my Load Game section.

Now every time i try to Load a game,nothing happens.The problem is that after selecting one of the saved game files the game would take me to a menu where I can select "Play now", " play scenario", "play custom scenario" and a couple of other options, including "Load game"...

For version 1.74 of the basic game, your saved games should be going into the My Documents/Civilization IV/Saves/Single folder, which is where the Load Game option looks for them. (The "Civilization IV" part may be "Sid Meiers Civ4" instead. I'm on a Mac and the folder name may be a bit different.) In any case the saved games should be in the subfolder "Single" down the tree from "My Documents", unless you have changed something in the ini. or the game code. If you did not change anything and the saves are going somewhere else, then something in the game code is corrupted and you may need to reinstall unless you are using a download version, such as Steam, in which case everything is stored differently from the disk version.
