Problem with new Holiday Scenario

Hello everybody !

Because i found no German Forum for this Game i hope someone here could help me.
I have install the new "Holiday " Scenario for this Game,which is called " A Tycoons Tale ". The Problem is,every City is called " Die Namemlose Stadt " ( i have the German Version ),or somtimes it happens that all Citys are called " The Nameles City" So what mean's that ?.
Maybe somweone else have the same Problem,that every city have the same Names.
I have the CD Version of the Game,and tried all Updates until 1.10

It would be great somebody would know what is wrong.

I had the same with the Dutch version of the game, every city was called
'The Nameless City' ('De Naamloze Stad' in Dutch). I find it really annoying and I didn't have a Christmas feeling anymore when I saw that.

This is because the City names for the Christmas Scenario are not detected for the non-English versions of the game.

It can be fixed by playing around with the Scenario's XML and adding the appropriate Names xml files for each language into the "My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\CustomAssets\XML\_SCENARIOS_\Santa" folder, along with the Names_ENU.xml file.

I've already tried this and got it working for a friend, so I'll post instructions and a zip file with the new xml files in my next post (can't post attachements in my first post)

Disclaimer: This is not an official fix, by following the procedure below, you accept full responsibility for any unforseen consequences.

So, to fix the Nameless City issue in the Holiday Sceanrio on non-English systems, do the following:

Download some new Names_XXX.xml files from the following location

unzip these files into the equivalent location to the following folder, this is from the English version, alongside the existing Names_ENU.xml. (I've included one file for each langauge French/German/Italian/Spanish and Dutch in the zip)

"My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\CustomAssets\XML\_SCENARIOS_\Santa"

Start the game and the scenario and all the city names should be displayed.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeah it works.

I thought as much that the Scenario only works for the English Version of the Game.
But now i can play it.
