Production Numbers in Colony Screen?

I'm trying to play Colonization for Windows on XP but I can't figure out how to get the production numbers in the colony screen to display. With my old DOS version all I had to do was click in the area that shows what you're producing (forget what it's called, but it's one of three screens you choose from: military, construction, and the commodities production screen), and the numbers would appear on everything. Does anyone know the answer, or does this feature just not exist in the Windows version?

The numbers only display once the production box is so crowded you couldn't possibly count them. I believe this is the case with Colonization for Windows and the DOS version.

Maybe the Windows version is different. I have the DOS version on XP and that works fine for me. You just click in that box for the numbers to show.

I believe that pressing 'n' key while in the colony screen puts numbers on the products

I've always just recognized how many there are at a glance, except for obviously impossible stuff like food in a large colony, or a certain fur-trapping colony I sometimes have the pleasure/hassle of building in North America.

Holy cow, I just realized how ancient this thread is... I guess this end of the forums doesn't see much activity
