production rate

Hi. I'm playing in marathon mode in bts, and id'll like to have the production cost of everything (wonders, buldings and units) divided (by 2,3 or 4?).
in real world so many wars were fought and cities rebuilt, but in civ it just take too much time :(.
with this simple modification i hope to have a more realistic feeling of time (it doesn't take that long to build something, even if it take long to get the technology/concept of it).
to work properly the habality to produce "treasury" should be given from the start (like the warrior, the settler and the worker).
could someone tell me how to achieve such simple mod cos i got no idea myself...:please:
 
The production/research/etc rates for different game speeds are defined in GameInfo\Civ4GameSpeedInfo.XML. The file is pretty self-explanatory. You want to edit the relevant entries in the "Gamespeed_Marathon" block.
