Programme X is not a valid win32 programme

Hi peoples

My computers stats
Win 95 b
48 Mb ram
1 x 280 gig hd
1 x ~ 40 gig hd
cyrix 586 processor 100 Mhz


ok the problem is that when I try to run or copy programmes of a cd to get them to run it comes up with "f:\programme is not a valid win32 programme"

Are you sure that program isn't written for linux?

this has happened to me too. the problem has occured when you have burned the cd or made the image file, it´s problary the image file.

That usually happens if the file became corrpted. If you create a .txt file and rename it to .exe and try and run it....you get that error.

etc. etc...

it was none of those

I do know that these programmes are windows programmes because I have used them on my parents computer and it is not just the one cd it is a couple thought some work
I have been trying to install linux but thats a different story......
