Rhye, will the mod take advantage of Blake´s AI City Placement? It´s fabulous! Check the comparison here!

Yes, I know. What I want to know if the mod will take full advantage of it, or if it will conflict with the city placement.

Rhye, what do you think about giving the arabs a great prophet on spwaning. Giving them the holy shrine on spawning would give them an extra boost an will let them conquer more land in the early game. It would bring in some extra realism to. It would be best to set it prophet away a bit from Makkah, because else the IA may let it join the city.

In my experience the Arabs tend to be the strongest civilization in the game from a few turns after they spawn until the renaissance era. Do they really need a boost?

Everything depends on Persia. If Persia is strong the Arabs doesn't stand a chance. If Persia is ready to collapse because of barbarians Arabia can take over the land and gets very strong.

In my games Persia tends to suddenly turn barbarian after losing any two cities. Arabia usually eats up their land, but come to think of it, I've never seen them go for northwest Africa and I'm sure the Turks won't help matters. I suppose an immediate prophet would make sense for Warlords.

Edit: and I do mean turn barbarian. A lot of the ancient civs seem to get auctioned off to the barbarians in pristine condition. Once when I spawned as Russia I was surprised to find that India, Egypt, Greece, Rome, Persia and China had all become one big barbarian nation.

the turks should (according to real world history) emerge after a collapsing arabian empire, so in the game they shouldnt interfere with arabias early conquests...

Unless they get lucky, Arabia tends to have a problem where the initial conquests are roughly the final conquests. Once Sally takes over Egypt and Persia, he tends to let himself go by wasting his settlers on the Sahel and Sahara. If Arabia doesn't get a boost in Warlords I can't see them living alongside Mehmed.

Since he never goes there on his own accord, I think he should be granted a city somewhere near Rusadir. Rabat would be a good one.

a little question @ Rhye,

will civs in the warlord version become barbarians as fast as in the vanilla version. If so, we could not use the vazalstate often.

Example: Arabia spwans, and gets a lot of cities in the middle east. In a small war the arabs take a few Persian cities and Persia becomes barbarian. This often happens in the game. In a Warlord game it would be better if Persia becomes a vazal to Arabia, Arabia can spread Islam, and there is no need for a revolution of the lang dead Persians

Hey, that's a good point... But then, when would civs ever fall if they are all hanging around being other civ's vassals?

I don't know about you, but I enjoy the speed in which this mod plays on my computer, especially my laptop... Having 30 civs hanging around in modern times would lock me up...

Edit: You know, on second though, don't listen to any of my suggestions about ways to change this mod; as they relate to me just being too cheap to go and buy some RAM...

you can not help being cheap, you are dutch (gierige hollander) :)

Actually, I'm a cheap American, I just live in a town called Holland... They have a windmill here, but no one wears wooden shoes... :)

Ha! I don't smoke pot here... Not only is illegal, my work would have me fired for it! Should you ever come to Holland, Ohio, I'll hook you up with my maintenace guy here at my apartment complex... He's high all the time... lol
