Proposed Amendment to the Constitution - Citizen Discussion Thread

I do not think it is good practice to change what is being voted on once the call for the vote is made, whether it is a cabinet vote, spot vote in turn chat or poll. I have seen changes made in all three types of voting processes now. Once a vote of any kind is called for it should not be modified. If the options become obsolete or the poll is badly worded throw it out and start over again. Better yet let's thouroughly discuss things before we put them to a vote or post a poll.

I am not trying to invalidate the amendment vote (I don't even know if anyone voted in it yet) just trying to point out what I think is not a good procedure.

I agree completely with Donsig's sentiment. I bent my own rule here because the change was semantic only. The only change to the Council Poll was to the two paragraphed examples in A-12. There had been no activity on the poll thread at that time.
