Proposed Clan Starting Mechanic

it would be rather interesting if the Clan of embers enters the game not at the beggining, but rather, whne the barbs civilize enough.

a barbarian city would build a Palace, and Jonas Or Sheelba would take residence in it, trasnforming that city into the clan capital (for flavor, it should be renamed to Braduk the Burning.

what do you think?

(i know this is probably incoherent, i'm tired, and can't think straight...​
 
Sounds cool, but I think that if this were the case I would really want an Rhye's style means of switching to them or having the game auto-play until they join if you select to play as them (this would also be really cool for the Infernals/Mercurians)

I doubt the team is willing to add those.
 
I think, (although I hold little hope of this ever being implemented) that something similar to the genghis khan scenario (from Warlords was it?) mechanic could be implemented for the Clan. Instead of starting with a settler or a city, they start with one (or maybe more) camps, which spit out units every so often based on the surrounding terrain. Only maybe after turn 100 or so would the Orcs finally settle down and get some settlers or something.


Yeah, I'm tired too. :p
 
I think both of those would be nice...

i also think the clan should have thier palace look like a giant, burning ccrater in the middle of the city.
 
Didn't the Clan of Embers already exist by at the end of the age of ice though..... with Braduk as their capital already?
