Here is my question to all team members: should we really divide our future and current land in provinces and territories? I've already proposed it in my first thread about territorial treaties. And, most importantly, should we make a map room, like president General W said?

I would like to read any comments or suggestions.

What would be the purpose of these divisions other then to help us refer to map locations? Are you talking administrative divisions?

Sorry I missunderstood the question ... I thought it was a map making graphic creation ... which we would then reference ... that I agree to ...

However having Governors ... I disagree with ...

Our terms for holding a Government position is only 20 turns (except the Team captain which is 40 Turns) ...

At the moment we have 5 positions which are voted for and an additional 3 which are delegated by the Foreign Minister ... which is a total of 8 different official roles a player can be (at the moment these cannot be the same person) ...

I doubt we have enough active players at the moment to do justice to this concept ... (I'm taking a break from officialdom for next term) ...

Citizens who do not hold an official position can still be active through voting in polls, entering discussions and starting threads like Graffiti Wall, the Looking Glass or even a fun thing like the OuiJa Board which tallies all the predictive polls players create ...

Also with Governors, what exactly would they control? ... imagine the nightmare of trying to get a consolidated approach to city production ... I'd even imagine that the next step would then be for all defensive units to be placed under Governor control ...

I think a map room would be good, and potentially helpful. Archives of traded maps could be catalogued, also documents pertaining to enemy troop movements.

But if we're talking about governors similar to the DemoGame7, I don't think that's wise. If anyone really wants that sort of power, Domestic Minister is the post for them.

I think a map room would be great. - Esp. if we have someone willing to take on maintaining it!

Provinces would be great - just for ease of reference and immersion factors… but I'd be opposed to appointing/electing governors of those provinces.

Map Room = YES

More Bureaucracy = NO

technically governors are already provided for under the constitution. The president can deleagte any power he wishes (i.e. city management) to other players. goverors w/o the title.
