These features are actively discussed in the technical review article that covers the key features of PTW that apply to both Single Player and Multiplayer games.

there is also some minimal information on these features included in the Civiliopedia inside your game.
In the big picture, there is not a great deal that has been added to PTW in the area of city improvements and wonders. The most significant features are the megabank (stock exchange) and commercial docks. All the other feature come too late or are currently missimplemented in some significant way that either results in a virtual "Game Over" condition or just provides you with "something to do" just in case you haven't won yet.
