Ptw with Conquests

I am on a network, and I opened the ports, but I want to play with conquests on one computer and with ptw on another, it says incompatible version. the thing is, on the civ3.com website it says it is compatible. do i have to do sometin special to do this? i have 1 ptw cd and 1 conquests cd with 2 comps on a network

oh yeh, i have ptw 1.27f and conquests 1.22
