Espania: The Golden Age
It has been so many years sinse Espania has arisen from a small wandering tribe to a renoun world power entering its Golden Age. Many wonder, "how?", how was this magnificently done?
I must keep my secrets to myself and add to its mystique. The land of Espania consist of 6 States and 2 to come. Each governing themselves under one nation, one rule, Amirsan. They are free to speak thier language and make laws as well as elect thier own governer but must always answer to thier king. The borders of these states are shown in this newly revised map of Spain and its neigboring countries.

As many rumors are heard of this new classical age, I begin to wonder, what is this? It sounds mysterious. Much more than new weapons and battlefield tactics. Maybe it's something more to culture and education! I new look in Espania's Culture!
I decided to research as much as possible of this new epidemic spreading. The Classical Age. I want it. I need to see it. I was determined.
I called all of my scholors and hired new apprentices and decided to make a plan. Everyone went back to the same lab and began to think, think for days and days. Soon their sons and daughter began to think and think. And thier great grand children... until the classical age was discovered.

For the first time in many years, wisemen and scholars, scribes and artisians, began to recieve extra funds from the caliphate. The result wa many great advancements in education which resulted in brighter minds throughout the lands. Harun Al-Rashid ordered these new intellectuals to go forth and get rid of the stupidity plaguing much of Arabia's populace. In the meanwhile, the brave warriors of Arabia were to get rid of the barbariens plaguing the land between Mecca and Basrah.

Great times had evolved from the halls of Sinhala. But with great times there are bad times inwhich were used to define times in general. These times would be now. Sinhala is faced with war with one of the most powerful nations in the world, a nation that, if they were to loose, would take Sinhala down with her. The Consul ordered for the continuing mobilization and moral raising of the troops. If the Aryans were going to destroy Sinhala, Sinhala would give them a fight that they would never forget.

THE GOLDEN AGE!
An age of peace and prosperity has fallen over our 6 states, this markes the first of many more Golden Times to come. This age is where economy booms from a crashing state to a very stabe vault. Our military is one of the strongest in the world (the known world). Our minds and culture is one of the geatest. Festivals start tommorrow all around Espania and in all states. Though military is under patrol in every corner to stop those who envy. Troops are scheduled to come in a couple years when thier duty is over. Viva Espania!
Two New States Enter the Country!
The two regions of New France and the Canary Islands have become more and more prosperous every year. 100 years ago colonists where sent to the islands and made the population grow much higher. Now we seek to finish expansion of all the islands and make it a state. The region taken from our former enemy France was also under consideration to be made a state. Many French Citizens have made new Spanish-French Citizens. The country is still almsot in tact and productive. It is planned to start its elections for governor in 25 years. They both will be the 8th state in Espania.

Australia finally succeeds in claiming the coastline for itself. They begin to exert pressure on the Geystral colony and even cause a few Geystral colonists to cross the border and become Australian. Even more impressive they begin a extensive educational reform policy. Increasing the number of smart people in Australia.
In Southeast Asia the Geystral Army does an about face and swiftly strikes the unprotected southern flank of the Davarati capital. The Thais and Vietnamese had settled in for a long siege but the swift and seemingly crazed attack of the Geystral troops overwhelmed the Davarati defenses and sacked the capital, but only after egregious losses. The plunder from the sack does stimulate the Geystral economy even more.
The inexorable advance of Canada continues! It seems no one can stop the new Canadian juggernaught. They charge northward yet again into Montagnis land. It seems the King had forgotten that while the Northern Alliance was dead the Hudson Alliance was still up and kicking, and stronger than ever. With the Canadian Invasion the Cree and Winnebago declare war on the Canadians and the Winnebagos meet with success in pushing Canada from their ancestral lands. The Ojibwa end up falling to the Cree and accept them as a protectorate. Even worse for Canada is that the Mimacs have not accepted Canadian rule and take the opportunity to assemble in open revolt of Canadian rule. With the Canadian Army up north fighting there are no troops available to put down the insurrection.
The Sicilians take advantage of a power vacuum in the Hittite kingdom to viciously turn their defense into an offense. They push from their fortifications and advance rapidly on the capital, but dont have enough troops to effectively garrison the countryside and keep their advance up. The arrival of new Hittite troops from the easternmost parts of the Kingdom also slows their advance to a halt. The Sicilians also complete their Wonder of the World the Sicilian main street, a monument to economic growth.
In the Mideast a new power emerges, the Median Empire. They are a powerful people who migrated from central Asia and within a century had subjugated a large portion of their weaker neighbors. The Persians, not content to be outclassed, and lead by a new young and very intelligent king, Cyrus, embark on a campaign for the Median capital of Hamadan. Their advance progresses well and time will tell if this is a new period in mideast history.
The Arabians are the first to find out about these new developments and it now becomes clear why the Persians refused to become a military vassal. They do little save increasing their education and expanding deeper into the deep expanses of the Arabian desert.
On the Indian Subcontinent the Aryans attack the Singhalese. Finding their new government to be an affront to the Aryan King their armies advance on a broad front against determined Singhalese resistance. The Aryans outnumber the troops from Sinhala but they had been preparing for this war for generations and doggedly hold their ground allowing only minor penetration of Aryan troops.
Spain enters a period of prosperity. For the first time in many, many years the people of Spain are at peace and they rejoice at that fact. They try to outflank the Mauritanians near Morocco, by sending their 5 most advanced triremes filled with 200 men to land further south on the coast. They succeed in beating the Mauritanians to the punch and are able to land some troops but one trireme was lost with all hands, over 40 men.
In the southernmost reaches of Africa a new nations emerges. From their capital in Johannesburg the South Africans are established under the leader Death who promises one of the smartest nations on the planet.
