Question about BUG

Okay, I like BUG as a general rule...but...

I have this thing that happens sometimes, and I am not sure how to disable it. The units cease appearing in the lower part of the screen, keeping me from selecting a stack, then choosing one, or a few of the units. It just gives me the most powerful military unit, and I must group all, then ungroup to get control of a spy, a ship, or a lesser unit. Is there anything I can do to get this to stop...it's annoying be immensely. (this never happened once in several years before installing BUG)

It sounds like you may have inadvertently clicked on one of the unit filters. Between all the unit icons and the action buttons below them there is a row of tiny circular buttons. The ones on the left control how units are displayed/grouped, but the ones on the right actually limit which units get displayed: land/sea/air, foreign/domestic, military/civilian, etc.

Click the button that has a red circle with a line through it, the (universal) not/cancel symbol. This will remove all filtering and show all units on the tile. You can hide all those buttons if you find you click these too much or simply don't use them. They each have help text when you hover your mouse pointer over them so you can learn how to use them. They are quite handy once you get the hang of them.
