Hi

I am currently playing as Pedro of Brazil. He has the unique ability called Brazilwood Camp. It has to be build on jungle tiles.

My question is:

If I make a farm or mine on a tile with jungle, will i then be able to build the Brazilwood Camp later? Or will the tile no longer be seen as a jungle tile?

THanks! :)

Building anything other than a trading post or Brazilwood camp (maybe a standard camp for Truffles and whatnot will be fine too) will eliminate the jungle. As Brazil, you want to keep as many jungles around as possible so you can build the camps later. Building farms or mines will remove the jungle permanently.

Yes; but if your capital has more than 16 tiles of Jungle (which can happen due to the jungle bias), you'll need to clear some of those just to be able to have some food & production while waiting for the tech for the Brazilwood Camp.

The trade post itself can't be built until Guilds; so there's not much point of trade posting a jungle tile as Brazil.

As to Camps; yes they will keep underlying forest; however Civ V won't let you put anything other than a Camp on a tile contains a camp resource anyway.

Ah yes, jon, thanks. When I said "as many as possible" I didn't mention that you'd want to clear some jungle on hills and by rivers for mines/farms. Basic, non-hill, non-river jungle tiles should be left untouched (unless a resource shows up there).
