Question about Map creation

Greetings. Been a while since I've been around, My friend made a map earlier today for him and my brother to play on. However apparently He can't use it in Multiplayer (hotseat). Now, I don't have the game installed anymore to be able to check out the problem myself, nor do I have access to their computer. So I told them I'd ask here to see if you can use user created maps in Multiplayer. He says you can't... but I highly doubt that.

Any suggestions would be great.

I've never had the experience of creating a map. Are there any error messages? Would you like to upload the map for others to try?

By default, multiplayer only lets you reload saved games, or play a new game with the map generated by a map script. Only single player games let you load a user created map. So I believe you'd have to create a single player save game, then modify it to be multiplayer for this to work.

edit: and what do you know, mackster gets in a post pointing out a utility to do just that before I could even finish my post!
