question about moding

Ok, newbie here. I've played around with the editor and I want to tweak a few things, mainly the wonders and other buildings. Every time I change something about a wonder/building (like how much it costs, the culture it gives, etc...) when I start a game I can't build that wonder/building. I have the neccessary techs and requriements, but it doesn't show up on the production list. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you have the required resources,techs, governments, and buildings. Also some of the options are buggy. For example, I made a "Castle" small wonder with a bombard bonus, it wouldn't appear. But when I kept it the same without the bonus I could then build it. Another "bug" like not being able to build a "allow level 2 size" building when you have one or are next to a river exist as well. I had that problem with my Forbidden palace.
