QUESTION: user created civs...

i know you can make civs with the editor, but can there ever be mnore than 16 to choose from?

as in, lets say you wanted to creats indonesia(hypothetical). would you have to delete one already there(lets say the iroquois) to make room for the new one, or will there be a list that can grow to 20 and above, only limited to your imagination?

if not, i hope dan is listening, because this would definitely be a great thing, and i would use it always... if not, i would probably never use it, because i like a default game which the designers intended (not that im against mods, the people who designed then are considered designers, arent they?)

please shed light on this subject, and put your ideas and opinions

Tribes are simply a collection of files unto themselves. You should be able to mix and match as you like I can't imagine it being any other way.

I would assume that you can make all the new civs you want, I don't even know whether you can delete the original ones at all. You can only play with 16 in a game, though, so if you want to include a custom civ in the game you have to take out one of the old ones (from the game).

the obvious problem with user-created civs is that; its easy to change the name and stats of a civ, its also easy to change the name & attributes of special units but its not that simple to make visual modifications; in order to change the special unit & leader animations for your new civ; you need to have some artistic talent --which most of us have not--

then there is no fun in playing with a user created spanish civ whose special unit is called conquisdator with an animation of the jaguar warrior..

wll, you COULD try making a 2d image, or dl a picture, im sure there will be many icons for you to choose from

revelation! i just thought of something i dont think some people might have noticed! you can surely take a photo you scanned, or took off a web site or encyclopedia software, and change it to a jpeg or something, and it will work in the game, just as long as its scaled! now wouldnt that be nice! photo quality icons!
