Questons about simultaneous turns?

I am playing a 1v1 with 4 ai's, using simultaneous=1. Now this has worked out great at the beginning, it's 100 AD and I have not yet found my opponent. My question is what happens once we start attacking eachother? Is it, whoever moves the unit first wins (picture two cannons next to eachother, one mine, one his)? Or is there a way to turn off simult turns? What are good ways to deal with this, I don't wish to have to race to move a unit before he can kill it or something

SlowHand sez:

Simultaneous is option just like production and moves.

Well, not quite. Production and moves you can change through a menu (Player Options, I think) and the change takes effect if all human players accept. Simultaneous movement isn't available. You'd probably have to save the game, exit, and restart without the "Simultaneous=1" in your civ.ini.

You're wrong.
Simultaneous is an option like any other.
Production, movement, or time.
It can be proposed change, just like any other.

Ok. You're talking about messing with text files?
Yes, then you would have to stop and redo.
I don't do that.

I started the game use simulatenous=1 and there was an option for simult turns but now I can not turn it off.

- there is no option to turn it off in game
- if I remove simult=1 from the civ.ini it STILL does simult

so both of you are wrong

You're the most wrong, because you didn't install file correctly of the 2 methods.

I think.
The file I had, there was a prompt for do it now and never again, or each time.
