The Armies are much stronger under Conquests (C3C).

Here's how they heal, after 1 turn using NO Movement Points (And NO Battlefield Medicine):

A. In City WITH Barracks: 100% Health
B. In City NO Barracks: 5 Hit Points Per Turn
C. In Friendly/Neutral Tile: 3 HP/Turn
D. In Enemy Tile: 2 HP/Turn.

Notes:
1. Number of units in Army not a factor
2. Army's movement points is slowest component unit's movement points + 1. :)

Interesting, well i did some experiements.(in conquest)
A army of 4 heals 5 with no battlefield medicine inside your borders/neutral but not in a city. With battlefield medicine its even more. An army of 1 heals like a regular unit.(no BFM) (didn't test if it heals in enemy territory or not) A army of 2 heals 3 in friendly territory.(no BFM) So numbers do matter apparently, just not in the way some of us thought.

That's good to know. The numbers I came up with were from tests I did with 2 and 3-unit Armies. :)

"Gibberish" pretty much has it right.

I believe there is a small possibility that a foreign citizen may "convert" to a native each turn........so, if you leave the city alone long enough you will find that it contains all natives!! ;)
(I had to revisit this because I found the answer in the Civilopedia)

In vanilla Civ 3, there is no random factor in the assimilation process. Paraphrasing the Civilopedia:

"Once a foreign citizen has been in the minority longer than he has not, he will assimilate and join your culture."

So, as long as the city has more natives than foreigners, those foreigners will eventually "convert". What isn't clear is how the terms are defined:
  • Whether "minority" means less than half, or a smaller percentage (e.g., 33%, etc.).
  • Whether the time is based on when the foreigner joined the city or when it was originally "grown".
  • Whether the time is measured in years or turns.
Once you can define those terms, it is possible (in some cases) to determine exactly when a given foreign citizen will be assimilated.

Best case scenario, if the time is based on when the foreigner joined the city, then foreign workers (or settlers) added to an existing all-native city should convert within a couple of turns. For cities that you capture, you can hasten the assimilation by adding natives (and/or building workers) to get the foreigners in the minority. However, if it's late in the game when you capture a very old foreign city, especially one that hasn't grown in a long time, you can pretty much assume that those foreigners will not be assimilated by the end of the game.

This also makes me wonder if you can assimilate citizens from a conquered (or "flipped") city more rapidly by converting them to workers, then adding them to a different "native" city.

That's VERY interesting research, gwolking. :goodjob:

Will have to try that out. Seems like I've added foreign workers (viz. slaves) to cities before and they didn't convert right away.

I believe TimBentley tested the "Conversion Rate" of captured cities' foreign workers. Would suggest sending him a Private Message to get his input. :)

I'm getting green terrain garbage. I have downloaded some graphics mods, the snoopy mountain and forest ones. The small smile face one. Anyone have any idea which one might cause it? Could it be the railroad one? I no longer have the original railroad file. But it seems I get the green garbage after railroads have been put down. Maybe that was the case with the original railroads.psx file as well?

Would someone please post the original railroads.psx file?

 You don't see the clumpy lines of green along many of the gride lines as well as clumps of green in the center of some squares?

Heres another pic, please look inside the purple. It looks like something was walking around in percise gride lines shitting green along the the way, with the occasional pile at turns.

Seems a little nitpicky to me but since you pointed it out... it looks like it could be any of several possible mods you installed. Try a different RR mod to see if that fixes it. It's only one file. If you figure out which it is, you should post in the associated mod thread about it.

After some more thought, i doubt it is the RR mod. Nobody is gonna post the original file. The mod that is the closest to the original is called 'neater railroads' or something close to that.

It looks more like the desert terrain file that is doing it to you.

I have lots of newbie questions :D :

1. How do i post picture previews in the forum - i can only add attachements ?
2. Where exactly do i start a developement thread (which forum exactly) ?
3. Is there any way of removing the diplomatic impact (from editor) of nuke-type units ?
4. Is there any way of making bonus resources' appearance ratio decrease ?
5. How do i change the Chieftain status below my name (in the forum of course) - like everybody else...

That's all for now ;)
