Wow thanks. I never put it together that the numbers always added up to 10. That would have been the only possibility if only I'd noticed that.

You can always trade over coast tiles, provided you have a path (ie; no enemy/barb ships in your path or going through enemy territory).

You can trade over sea when you get Astronomy, provided you have a path (same requirements).

You can trade over all things when you have Magnetism/Navigation, provided you have a path (pretty hard not to at this point ;) ).

Just summarizing what Own said in a bit easier to understand format.

I had Astronomy and was driving Subs, Transports and the rest. It made no sense. That I did not have the stuff I automatically in the cities on the continent where I started.

IIRC transports are the age after Magnetism and that means you have ocean travel.

So all water tiles are accessible. Now if your harbor is block, that would stop it. This is unlikely as you would have to have hostile ships in those tiles be they barbs or a civ you are at war with.

If that is not the case, then do you have a harbor on the mainland as well? Is the town in quesion in revolt? If none of these ideas expain it, then it could be a bad mod. Either way post a save.

I finally won the game and deleated it and the mod so I would not be tempted to try it again. It was called Bigger Better World I believe and took forever to play. I do know this, even when I had harbors in several cities on both continents I did not have the resources on the second continent. I thought maybe it had something to do with how far away the harbors were from each other, but there were islands close to my own continent with the same problem. Maybe I just goofed, but it is the only game I have not enjoyed winning.

When I try to edit in Civil 3 edit program, I go to the Scenario properties section ..It's to big, no matter what I do I can't get it to fit it all on the sceen..What am I doing wrong? How do I fix it? Thanks for any help..:)

That box is a bit bigger than the 1024x768 resolution. If you can, increase your resolution to 1280x1024. Then you'll be able to see the whole box.

If you can't do that, what you can try to do is grab the very bottom part of the tool bar. Move that as high as you can. Then turn your taskbar to 'Auto Hide', and this will give you a bit more room to play with.

I have another question. I see that some people have an option where you can name your unit, that says ABC. How can you get that option?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!

Please help. I have the military academy, but I can't figure out how to use it to build an army. No "Load" icon comes up. Neither does a "Build Army" icon. I've tried everything I can think of, and just can't figure it out. Help!

Once you build the Military Academy, you can build armies in that city only. It appears like a unit (just like a worker or warrior) on your build queue in the city screen, named "Army". Just build it (it costs 400 shields), and you can load 3 units into it (4 if you have the Pentagon).

It is probably due to not having enough cities. You need 4 cities for each army.

Units need to have movement to be loaded into an existing army.

Wow. Thank you. So easy. Sometimes I feel like a real dummy. That was pretty obvious. :crazyeye:

Don't feel all alone, there are lots of us around who really feel like dummies when they give us the answere.:crazyeye:

another n00b question here

How can I buy a worker?

I cannot find the option :(

You don't buy workers, you build them like you would a warrior. But they do cost one pop point, so make sure the city is above two before the worker completes. Otherwise, that city might be disbanded.

You can buy workers from other Civs, but you must have a city (or your capital) on the same continent as the other civ's capital. And the worker must be in the capital at the time of trade.

Do you know why (if it has happened) why sometimes mods(scenarios) dissapear without notice about deleting?:(

Sorry if my question was too rough...

I mean how can I buy a worker from other civ

and by Turner_727 answer, this mean if I wanna buy a worker from Greec, the Greec worker must be in its Capital otherwise I cannot buy worker right?

How can I know that when I can buy a worker as it has to be placed in other civ Capital?

Deleted from where? The scenario/mod thread? Your computer?

You can use a 'helper' program, such as CRpSuite (MapStat, specifically) or CivAssist II, links are in my sig. Otherwise, each turn, you need to contact the other civs to see if they have workers available. And remember, you must have a city on the same continent as they do, otherwise you can't trade.
