Hey did anybody notice my post # 1623? I sent it in the middle of a conversation, it seems.

My understanding of airfields is that you can only lift 1 unit per turn FROM each airfield, but can LAND several units on an airfield in the same turn. IOW, you could move 5 units from 5 airfields on one continent to a single airfield on another continent.

The great thing about using airfields, rather than airports, is that the AI bombers will go after your planes stationed in a city and completely ignore those sitting on an airfield next to the city.

Oh awesome. I'm playing on Regent BTW now. Woo-hoo! I'm tellin' yah, bein' next to Rome and the Incas makes it hard to play nice. Should I go ahead and wipe out Rome? I've been warring with them for long time and finally have them by hip, just took Rome and the Pyramids! They are down to about three cities and can't really flank attack me. I made a mistake and left some open coastline (next to mountains and desert, no grassland, and the Byzantines and Incas each built a city there, not far from my capital. Could I use them as a vassal or is it better to just wipe them out?

I could upload a save later...

About your game, the AI cities built near your capital will probably flip sooner of later.
 
Write:

Of course, write without the spaces.

Good point(s).

They are desert/mountains, probably won't prosper anyway, especially if I build a few curraghs and leave them on station to blockade them. They shouldn't pose a real threat. I pumped out a couple settlers and rushed temples in their towns right next to them to keep them from expanding.
 
On the F1 Domestic Advisor Screen (C3C), why are some of the city names in italics? :)
 
I believe that indicates that the governor is in control of the city, probably to manage moods. You will also see a white border around the population number of those cities on the map.
 
In the editor, I cant see if I placed a goody hut, or if I irrigated a tile, or if I placed a city on a tile.:( Is there any way to fix it?
 
You probably have Clean Map turned on. Go to the View meny and uncheck this option.
