You can get that error is you have the file open already. You see this all thime if you use CaII.

I think Demigod is closer; C3C Deity is harder than PTW Deity, no?

edit: harder is difficult to quantify because of the rule changes, but the modifiers are more favourable to the AI I believe.

Don't have PTW installed on this computer, so I can't say. But my understanding is that Deity is unchanged, but demigod is between Emp and Deity and Sid is beyond Deity.

Here are the AI bonuses. As the unit support is not really very important, the main differences are:

Demi-god cost factor is 7 vs 6 for the other two.
C3C deity AI to AI trade rate of 170 vs. 160 for the other two.
C3C deity OCN factor of 60 vs 70 for the other two.

Vanilla deity is clearly in between the two C3C levels, perhaps slightly closer to DG. The OCN factor is, to my mind, the most important.

Vanilla Demi-god Deity
Number of extra defensive units: 8 6 8
Number of extra offensive units: 4 3 4
Number of extra type 1 (usually settlers): 1 1 1
Number of extra type 2 (usually workers): 2 2 2

AI unit support bonuses
Additional free support for each AI civ: 16 12 16
Bonus for each city: 4 3 4

AI max government transition in turns: 2 2 2
Cost factor (player is 10): 6 7 6
AI to AI trade rate: 160 160 170

AI and player factors:
Number of citizens born content: 1 1 1
Number of citizens quelled by military: 1 1 1
Attack bonus against barbarians: 0 25 0
Percentage of optimal cities for corruption: 70 70 60

The problem is the stuff *following* the file name. The IMG tags don't like stuff like "...?t=1173893243" ;)

Spoiler :
Error.jpg

I notice one thing, every time I get this error, and I try to advance to next turn, the game crashes to the desktop, right before it begin the next turn.. So if I get this error, I know I have to start the game one turn before (Thanks to the auto save). I did run scandisk, no errors found (and I run disk defragmenter as well, but still happening).

You know what, now that I tough about it, this start it to happen, right after I try to reinstall to recover a scenario file that didn't want to work (and that didn't help either grrr:mad:, to get my scenario to work:( ).

I wish I had a computer that could run Civ 4. :( When I get my new computer I'll probably buy Civ 4 with it. Until then, I have to settle for Civ 3.

But I SO want Civ 4... :(

Lucky you, I still looking for to get complete, by the time I start to look to get civ 4, everyone will have civ 4, and civ 5 will be already out.

Target? Best Buy? CompUSA? MicroCenter? Surely you're familiar with one of those.

You could probably go to Amazon and get it for around the same price.

Nope, that is none of those stores in my country.

You can buy it online from Amazon and reach their website from any country in the world. I bought Complete from them for $19.99 US, plus shipping of course. :)

I think (not too sure) i know what is causing this. Do you have civassist? well if the alert window is open it might not be able to save. Because the file is in use. But if you don't have civassist then thats not the problem.

Well I know that, but when a country such as US, make U$1000's a months, a country were I live, only make U$100's, and I'm talking about low to middle 100's.

So even know 20 bux might not be a big deal for you guys. 20 bux is a lot of money to spend on a game for me.

I'm a big gamer, I spend a lot of money with games (note: a lot for me). But I only buy games when is out for years already in US, just because only upper middle class or up, would be able to spend, 50 + dollars in those games.

Anybody that is not upper middle class here, and are buying those games for 50 bux + (themselves), doesn't care about their future, because chances are they will not have one.

I'm planing to get complete for half year now, and I didn't get yet, because I still think is to much money (considering, I have a similar one (Gold)).

So I better of, waiting a little bit, and make sure I save some money, and get it later on (the later on, could be anytime from a months, to a year, just depends on my luck in saving...lol).

People living in countries such of US, UK etc, don't know what is poor much. A lot of people that considerate themselves poor there, are close (if not) to be considerate a middle class here.

Even know I don't think I would qualify as poor here, I'm close (if not) to middle class here (and I cannot spend 20 bux in a game...grrrr...:aargh:). I think if I was poor, I would probable not be qualify to have internet (internet users are increasing, but the poor people that have access to it, is almost 0).

So I'm hopping that by now, you got the point ;). :D
