Actually, this is at least the second iteration of the Quick Answers thread. There was one here when I joined, back in ... checks ... January '03. (I think. I was just an occasional browser to begin with.) I remember having the feeling that it was a fairly new thing: people kept referring newbies to the Quick Answers thread as if it were a completely new concept.

I don't remember if it was Turner or someone else who started it the first time, but I agree this is a really good thread.
