I have ROP's with the Celts, Aztecs and Persians, and I declare war on the Americans.

Why are my 3 allies not at war with the Americans?

Thanks,

Stunner :goodjob:

"ROP" should have been "MPP" in the previous post.

Sorry,

Stunner :goodjob:

And make sure the Americans don't have an MPP with the 'tecs, Celts and Persians. Because if they do, and you attack in their territory first, the MPP is triggered against you.

Probably better to sign a MA with them instead of a MPP. That way you know for sure that they'll go to war against your enemy.

Just put a weak, useless unit as bait on the edge of your territory - the Americans should attack it and your allies will get involved in the war. ;) (Although, on larger maps, I've noticed that sometimes MPPs don't get activated until the AI attack a CITY in your territory...)

How long does it take a non-industrious worker to mine a mountain? To road it? (gov. = depositism)

Should be 12 turns, I think.

If you hover your mouse over the worker action button, it will tell you how many turns.

Thanks -- wanted to know without wasting worker move to find out!

Is it just my imaginative paranoia or does the AI seem to know where resources are long before they are discovered?

The AI on my C3C seem to build in the middle of nowhere at the begining of a game only for, lo and behold, oil to be discovered there hundreds of turns later.

Relax - it's not your paranoia

They know.

Look on the bright side: you now know where some future resource can be found. Capture that city, or destroy it and build your own.

Ok if I start a random game I can double click my city and then click on the eyeball to see the actual city and plus I get to upgrade my palace every so often. My problem is however when I make my own map in the map editor I do not have the option of seeing my city other than the usuall production screen for that city of course. Nor do I get the upgrade to my palace anymore.

Can someone help me understand why or how I may fix this?

Thanks,

Ross

In Conquests, they had a make a choice between working on gameplay, or graphics. They chose gameplay. That is why in regular games, you can get City View (without the new C3C wonders / improvements), but in modded games, you can't. You can't fix it, sorry. :(

A quick question....

Does a capital city get extra defence bonuses over an ordinary city of the same size? Sometimes it seems that a capital is harder to take than usual.

No.

I know how you feel. My thinking is that players remember bad RNG luck on capitols, just because we're so much emotionally aware/remembering of capitol battles, especially if it's the AI's last town.
