Y'know how you sometimes see wonders off the edge of the battlefield, e.g. a siege as Alexandria allows you to see the Lighthouse? Is it actually possible for wonders to appear on the battlefield?

Just wondering if it's worth trying to fight a battle next to one on the campaign map to see what happens... :p

Not sure but I doubt it.:(

Not to my knowledge, and I've definitely fought battles right next to the Temple of Zeus. Interesting thought though; it would be a major morale boost for defending armies.

I am not sure in vanilla RTW. But I think in EB you can. I think there are various monuments, etc.. that are located on the strategy map. Although I never specifically fought on that spot, they do appear to be an option in custom battles. As I recall the custom battles just takes coordinates from the campaign map so it furthers my idea.:)

I stand corrected: re-visited some old battles yesterday and they do indeed feature wonders off on the horizon. Don't know how I missed them before. In one battle near Halicarnassus, both the Mausoleum and the Colossus are clearly visible.
