When the first thing I read besides the header is a discussion of how Jordan Peterson is right, I quicky feel the need to wash my eyeballs. Having that on my browser history is more embarrassing than the most twisted pornography I can find. And believe me, I can find a lot.

But this isn't really all that surprising. The whack jobs are migrating more and more into the mainstream now that the bowel movement is sitting in the Oval Office.

Over steaks, Lehmann recalls, the conversation revolved around a brewing academic scandal, a prank engineered by friends of hers. They had successfully placed seven nonsensical research papers in various academic journals devoted to what they characterized as “grievance studies.” One of the papers included a lengthy passage from Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf, rewritten to focus on feminism and intersectionality. Another was about rape culture in dog parks. Absurd as the papers were, they had been accepted by expert editors and published as serious research. For those in attendance, it was a ringing confirmation of just how politicized academia had become, and how blindly devoted to fashionable moralities.

I'd be interested in seeing the actual papers. Earlier ones I have seen in this style of omglolfeminism have been in the pay-to-publish style unreputable papers. Obviously no direct links or citations from the article though.

This is referring to the Sokal Affair, which had its own thread here on CFC - not worth reading - and a grand total of ONE of those various papers was submitted to a respected journal. The rest were predatory publishers, pay-to-publish, or otherwise second-rate tripe. And this article, written in the style of a talentless hack - so no surprise there - leans further into the, as you accurately called it, "omglolfeminism" side of things than the original hoaxers ever did.

And for anyone who decides to accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about; I published a paper on this hoax last week. No you may not read it, not unless you pay me. I accept cash, bank transfers, and steak dinners.

The JP hate is the weirdest and most indefensible errors of the liberal/left side of the spectrum.

If guys like Pinker and Haidt read it I doubt it's a bastion of hidden evils.

Personally the articles themselves are okay, its those comments sections that are so consistently nerve wracking. They consistently fall into white supremacy arguments.
