Or tribal village? I've noticed that I've been getting different rewards as of late
I always used to get either a eureka/inspiration, gold, faith or maybe a scout, now I'm getting pops, settlers and so forth. It's not impossible that you got a swordsman.

It is impossible because goody huts do not provide units, except Scouts. You just seem to have been getting unlucky.

It's strange. It can't be a meteorite (I think) because that only provides cavalry units?

If they don't ever provide units, then it can't just be a case of being unlucky, either they provide units, or they don't. And I've definitely gotten units from them before, while scouts are by far the most common, I've gotten settlers and traders from them as well. The last game I got a trader, very conveniently because I was struggling for gold and unusually had a couple of free trade routes.

He means military units, which scouts are the only option available.
