Hey guys.
I know for a fact that the AI uses the R-base ability on air units to transport jets to cities under air attack or to cities near enemies to bombard them. In my tests I havent been able to make them use the R-base ability however, so I can't complete my tests.
I don't know if you knew but the AI ignores some 'special actions' such as bombard for land units as long as the selected strategy is correct. For example:
-If X unit has the strategy flag selected of 'artillery', then it won't matter if the special action 'bombard' is on or off, because the AI will always bombard. I found this out by forgetting to turn it on, on one of my units. The result was that the AI bombarded me, but I could not bombard back.
I was trying to find out if it was the same case with the R-base ability as I have different strategies with the human and AI, with the same unit. AI will use my air unit as immobile, but the human will move them. To compensate the AI would be allowed to R-base, but not the human.
This only works if the same is true for R-base as my bombard example. Does anyone know for sure? I cant make the AI re-base for any reason in my test scenario.
