Yeah, it was a good game.

However, lately I've become bored with Civ, so count me out for another SG.

Great finish, rrau, and great game, everyone. 106 hours? Wow.

I'll join R&L04. I'm down to just 3 SGs (and SGOTM7 should be done within a week or two) so I'm looking for some new ones.

Nice finish.

I've started a new job and have limited time, so I'll need to pass also.

Nice wrap, rrau!

I also played it out, and got the win in 1818, but my time was 111 hours, after letting it sit idle all afternoon yesterday. I must say that TOW's are a PAIN :gripe:. The bombers did poorly, the F-15's were worse, and the marines were disappointing versus TOWs. For some reason, I had better luck with paratroopers attacking than marines. I do like the way helos work. Unfortunately, without tanks, and definitely tank armies, this would not have been possible. I'll have to keep this in mind.

:thanx: Thank you all for participating in R&L03, and good luck in your future endeavors! :salute: I have enjoyed playing with and learning from you. To jb & IP, welcome to R&L04.

Regarding R&L04, shall we try DG? I have an emporer scenario all ready to go, with all AA GA civs, but I'm rethinking what we might want to do. Since there's 3 of us left, how about a little discussion before floating it?

I found the rines nice as an initial assault on a port city to open the way for immediate action on the enemy continent. But I did spend quite a few of them grabbing the one port city.

An all AA GA emperor scenario is certainly unique enough to me to go from there. If you two are hot for a DG game I'm also up for that as I could stand to stretch my early MM skills.

What's your thought behind the AA GA scenario? Sounds like warfare early and often.

Actually, I captured two cities with just Marines. They're great in large numbers. They did seem to lose to rifles more often than expected even with 12 attack to their 6 defense.

I don't care what difficulty we play. Maybe we can decide that once you make the topic. The all AA GAs sounds fun, though. We're going from Modern Age wars to Ancient Age wars. :)
