Civ 7 Portugal (Exploration) by Raen

Raen´s Civ 7 Portugal Mod 0.06B

Return to menu when I created a game so I removed any other mod and once starting a game with default settings I get the exact same error.
Kind of strange that the game try to actually read that entry since it's antiquity. It shouldn't do it right ?

Beats me on this my idea.
But why you choose to make Portugal as 'Another Spain'? You even mentioned that 'They're more to that', they were sea kings.

My ideas

1. Isabella can chose Portugal by default. (At least until that usurper Phillip II returns)
2. UC should replace Fleet Commander.
3. UU should be Nau (basically a carrack with guns, but until Modding tools is released now I understood why you made them 'Another Spain'.) available at Tier II onwards.
Abilities--can form a trade route, one that pillaging attempts by enemy instead ended up with combat. (all Naus are armed, and better armed than anyone else Carracks).
4. Feitoria cannot be built at home. must be built at the distant lands next to waterways (ANY usable waterways, either coasts, lakes or navigable rivers) It should be UQ, consisted of two buildings
4.1 Castelo, Civilopedia entry should includes a bad history of being slave pens where slaves (particularly sub sahara africans) captured or bought were held before shipped elsewhere.
4.2 'The Market'
or
4.3 Missao (Automatically converts a city to founder's religion. permits missionary training, also re-convert a city over time if competitors religion convert this settlement, reinstate player's religion to a settlement at the start of the next age.)

I just made a first version. It's on standby because I don't yet have a machine to run Civ 7. Just made this at a friend's machine for a while.

For this version, I copied a lot from Spain. Later, I want to add Portuguese Traits, Nau, and such. Anyway, thanks for reminding me and for your support!

If you want, just grab it and try to implement the graphical part, which is your great skill. Much appreciated!

OK.
and there's more ideas to be refined. if Portugal should have UU and UC or 2 UUs and no UCs.
I don't know how good Portuguese Tercos are but from what I know that one Terco (Battalion) is only one third a strenght of Spanish counterparts.
Personally my style will be more to fix on generics. there are still many things i'm not okay with Civ7 particularly in Age II. (Pike and Shot are now manual except Spanish, which should be fixed... like Pike and Shot is Tier 3 infantry and culverins should replace arquebusiers (and have increased siege damage but only halfway between Range and Siege.)

Tercos (= Tercios) also existed in Portugal but were "imported" from Spain. Otherwise, Spain imported Caravels, so for me, Portugal only has Naus and Caravels for best for UUs.

Caravela Latina => for coastal exploration, can navigate rivers very well.

Caravela Redonda => Armed caravel, faster and stronger to fight pirates and defend Naus.

Nau => For great trips, not being lost in SEA, using the Bolina technique. Other minor ships are not lost if they follow Nau.
