Raging Barbs for AI Players

Yeah, it makes encampments poop out barbs faster... so they will pester and annoy anything around them that much more.

The AI has a great deal of trouble dealing with barbarians. Chances are you'll hurt the AI a lot more than yourself by turning them on.

That's good to know. I always enable Raging Barbs because they're handy for building early game XP. The game seems, to me, a bit more historically accurate as well. If the Barbs are harming the AI more then they harm me then that's just icing on the cake. :goodjob:

I usually play with raging barbs too, they seem to accumulate a lot more since the last patch. Now its not unusual to uncover a new area and find the area swarming with a dozen+ barbs. At that point, I don't think the AI can make any ground against them.

Agreed; it seems that the barb camps are respawning at a faster rate as well. This is all good for me - as long as they don't bring back Vedic Aryans.

the trouble with raging barbs, is it can cripple some of the enemy AI ruin a game ... i like the challenge imposed by the raging barbs, but it turns the AI into soft wimps

If I select the Raging Barbarians option (And I usually do) do the AI civs also suffer raging barbs?

Tried a forum search and I couldn't find a definitive answer.
Yeah, the AIs will suffer too. This can have odd effects (or, at least it used to) where by an AI might stay at one city for a long time due to lost workers/settlers.

Ranging barbs does seem to slow AI expansion a bit though, which can be helpful to the player.
