Rallying call for all interested: Colonisation of the Moon mod!

Whew. It's a P.I.T.A. (think about it) having to get those screenies via Nexus, even if one uses the map editor. I have so many spectacular vistas I've made. Sad, isn't it?

Right, that's it. I'm going to bed.

Incidentally, MAJOR announcement, people:
My grandmother has been taken ill, so during FRIDAY 24.02.06 and THURSDAY 03.03.06 I shall be out of contact, visiting my grandparents in France. I will be away from home, work, and Civ IV, and when I come back I expect Tamlyn will have lots of work for me to catch up on. Just thought I'd warn you.
So it might be a good idea to get 0.11A up and running between now and Friday...

Nighty-night.

At least you won't miss the big release tomorrow. Good night

matthewv - I sent you the email with three more buttons. No turret pink dots. ;) Are you going to make sure the Great People are all lined up since they're giving pink now?

Boy am I ever excited now. I just found a piece of software that will allow me to load up 3D drawings crated in AutoCAD in 3ds max called PolyTrans-for-MAX. I can't wait to try it since I am experienced at drawing 3D objects in AutoCAD and with this software I sould be able to create a 3D object in AutoCAD, load it up in 3ds max, add a texture, and then export it as a .nif file. If this works it will make crating new 3D objects for civ4 very easy for me.(until the trail period on 3ds max and PolyTrans-for-MAX run out):D

mostly buildings but I might be able to do some vehicles as well.

If you could do one or two tracked units and a couple of space suits then we could skin the living heck out of them!

I downloaded 3ds max and found out I did not need PolyTrans-for-MAX to import an autoCAD drawing, 3ds max can do it on its own. Now all I need to figure out is how to get it into civ4.

I've tracked down your artillery "bug". There's no bug :). I suspect you are parking your artillery in a city, and civ4 randomly unloads units in cities. Once unloaded, it becomes orphaned and has to be killed and respawned. So... you need to load it and sentry it before you enter the city and that *should* work. The real problem is that I've been having 0 luck getting untis to load onto other units programmatically. It simply doesn't work (yet). Until I solve that problem, I can't solve this one. Well, mostly anyway.

Presenting.....

The biodome :D (not this one is temporary till I have the time to make a better one. I quickly wipped one up to see if it would work)

That is so awesome! :king:

I'll be building those instead of Bunkers just to look at them! Beautiful.

Now we need debris barbarians to start bouncing off of it. ;)

They are already fragile if attacked.

Yeah, but won't it be cool seeing things bounce off of it or maybe punch a hole into it! I know it's way down the road, but since JBG is against all alien life forms I'm hung up on debris. :mischief:
