Rallying call for all interested: Colonisation of the Moon mod!

The thing about patches that I like are that we don't have to re-upload the entire mod. Maybe patches every couple of days = new version?

we can do patches amonst ourselves and playtest versions but like I said I an leary about releasing to many patches to the public. One per full version release should be the max if we are going to release patches to the public.

Sounds good. You want the XML changes I've done or wait until I put in some more Wonders?
 
Wonder movies are a waste IMO. I'd like to be able to go to a new screen to tell a little about it, but it's not necessary. Kael doesn't use them in FfH and like I said, they aren't necessary.
I agree with you on wonder movies as we wuold never be able to find decent wonder movies.

Gameplay is way more important than those.

About Specialists....is the only reason we don't have any because they aren't being added by techs, buildings, or civics? We didn't get rid of them, but they aren't showing up as being available? I guess I don't understand the mechanism...
 
I'm noticing that this version seems to be a little slower or laggy. Anyone see the slight hesitation and very small jerkiness in the motion of units?

Yes, I'm afraid I am a victom of that as well. All that I end up building are biodomes because they look so cool.
When I make the bunker graphic, should I make it have a glass top as well so that the colony inside can have a controled atmosphere as well?(that way people don't need space suits to walk around)
 
Honestly, what is a bunker? To me it's either a primitive defensive building, a sand trap, or something Saddam hid inside. If it's for defense then maybe you could encircle the city with a trench graphic and put a "sturdier" looking dome over the city? I have no idea...

Morgan's Purified Air System
-available with Air Purification tech, is a World Wonder
-costs 300 hammers, grants +3 health in city, +1 globally

Fungus Amongus
-available with Symbiotic Bacteria tech, is a World Wonder.
-costs 350 hammers, grants free Mushroom Farm to all of your cities.

Lunar Point
-available with Low-G Combat tech, is a National Wonder.
-requires 1 level 4 unit to build, double production speed with Tungsten.
-costs 200 hammers, grant free Military Station to all of your cities.

Public Theater
-available with Public Liberties tech, is a World Wonder.
-costs 200 hammers and grants free Theater in your cities.

Obviously the costs might be low, but the idea is there. A few more coming, but maybe not tonight.

A bunker is a heavily fortified structure that is used as defense. I could make a large structure with heavy fortifications and strong glass windows at the top. That would probably look best.

don't you mean double production speed with Tungsten. Surely it wouldn't cast more when you have tungsten

As I warned, I am setting out for France tomorrow, so this may well be my last post for a few days. I'm confident you won't blow anything up (well, anything tangible anyway) while I'm gone.

And of course, I'm getting to France via.... Waterloo Station. Where else (and don't say Trafalgar Square!)
 
Matt - can these Biodome and Bunker graphics be added to if we have techs that reinforce them later on? I'm thinking of different materials, a UV shield, stuff like that.
