I've read a few modding tutorials, but couldn't quite find what I'm looking for. Here's what I want to be able to do somehow.

- Make a custom mod in the Mods folder, (already in progress)
- Have that mod able to use randomly generated maps.
However...
- I don't want to have it interfere with regular game play, so do not want to put it in the CustomAssets folder.
- And the easiest way to do this seems to direct the Civ4Config file to the mod folder.
However...
- I would like to be able to make this a seperate option from within the game, perhaps like the Tutorial. I noticed the Tutorial has to reset the game just as setting a "permanent" mod does. I have already written a seperate config file for the mod in the mod folder with public maps set to playable, but cannot access it anywhere in the game without setting the mod in the Civ4Config file.

Is that making any sense to anyone? Any Ideas? It's starting to confuse the hell out of me. :crazyeye:

Well, I can answer my own question now. I just realized that if you go into Advanced Options in the start screen there's a Load a Mod option. I feel pretty noobish for missing that one.
