Random Seed

I know that many of you out there dont like this questrion as many think of it as a "cheat", but here we go: Is there a way to turn of the "preserve random seed"(CIV3 term)? Somethimes I do something incredible stupid, like going to attack a town I know I cannot win, or placing a warrior in the middle of lots of enemies. I would like to have the possibility to reload the game those times to get another outcome from the battles. Worst is it when I only have 1 or 2 underpowered units in 1 town. before I used to allow myself 1 reload to hold the ground to when I can reinforce the defense. Cant see any possibilities to do this now.

You're right, it's not possible any more. Maybe you'll want to build more military than you used to do, and take fewer risks? Good luck.

I think if you reload and then 'uses up' a random number (for example by attaking somewhere else) you still cuold get a new outcomme for the battle... This would not work, if each unit has its own row of random numbers...

would be nice to have an authoritative answer on this one.
i also prefer reloading to outright cheating with powerbar or now the worldbuilder.

I think you should use the "New random seed on reload" option in the Costom game menu. Deleting supscription...

i think you should check the date on threads and think "is it worth dredging up a thread after 9 months of silence?" this thread was started and finished before the option you suggested was available. now let it die in peace.
