I'm sure they have already been proposed but let's see :

- Allow animated avatars ( like in Apolyton )

- Make bigger "posters' screen'' so there can be bigger avatars (ditto )

I seriously doubt animated or large avatars will ever be allowed, since they'll be quite an extra load on the server.

So what ? Poly isn't that slow compared to CFC.

Animated or mildly larger avatars would be nice.
But I am happy with the current avatar size...

...And animated avatars are a big no-no, I believe.

I'm been to GC and the avatars are HUGE. I'm fine with the current size right now - if someone would get me a better editing tool! Paint is so horrible....

The forums are just fine in my opinion as they are. At Poly it loads really awakardly with all the extra things that are coded into the forums.

And yes, sorry for threadjacking your thread. Should I create a seperate thread for it? (It would probably be better like that, and I could include a poll. And you could have your precious thread all to yourself. )

You mean the area where your info is? (Avatar, username, location, posts, etc.) I think that adjusts automatically. For instance, there were some people who had long locations and that threw the thing out of whack and it looked ugly.

I've always thought the avator limit heer was rather.. restricting, I mean an avatar IS the poster wouldn't you agree? But alas I'd rather contend with this realtivly small size than have the site run (even) slower.

And personally, I feel the avatar size is perfect - if you want to increase it by 10 pixels, I care not - but no more than that please.

A definite no to the first suggestion.

And a definite no to the second suggestion.

I mean who cares if the avatar gets a bit bigger or animated, it's just a silly vanity thing. It's the quality of your posting that matters, not what your avatar looks like.

Call me old-fashioned, but in my opinion avatars are unecessary and slow down the boards.
