Re-Installation Problems

Hi, I have had a happy time playing Civ4 (not warlords) and all of a sudden (yesterday and today) my game would crash after like 15 minuites of playing. so today, after the 2nd time i decided to uninstall and reinstall the game. now when i install the game it tells me that it cant transfer

Feature:    DefaltFeature 
Component:  Civ4Component 
File:   F:/ Data2.cab 
Error: Incorrect Funtion

I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (if that makes any differance). This happens when i am about halfway through installation.

I'm having the same problem with my Civ4.
This happens right around the time that the movies for the Statue of Liberty and/or Stonehenge are being loaded.

Any help at all would be appreciated.
