Since you reserved the other thread I thought I'd reply here.

I'm working on my first ever walkthrough/write-up for a WE/SE on Immortal with the English. The game is roughly 1/3 of the way done, and hopefully my write-up will be worth reading. It's very similar to yours Obselete in that I build lots of wonders and settle all my GP, but in some other ways my strategy definatly differs considerable (I tend to build lots of cottages for example)

I did want to do some Deity walkthroughs earlier, I even attempted an 'open-game, Deity challenge' thread a while back, - but between Sept-Dec, I almost stopped playing Civ4 completely and haven't had the time to finish it.
I've gradually been getting back into it lately tho.

I've tried a few SE/WE games on Deity but I rarely end up finishing them (I might try and finish a game with the Inca's I started a while back). I can win more or less 100% on Immortal if I give the effort, but winning on Deity with any consistency I've found to be extreamly difficult.

I have played Deity WE/SE's and won a few times - But I don't feel I'm at the level to write about it yet since my wins were somewhat lucky and I can't win with much consistency. (often I give up tho before playing to the end)
Immortal -> Deity is like Noble -> Immortal in some respects, its WAY harder since the AI start with 2 settlers instead of just 1, it makes it immpossible to surpase them in score - they'll have 3 cities with 5+ pop before you can build your first settler sometimes.

Maybe once I finish my game with the English I'll attempt another one, I have a few ideas as to how I can win.

Whooops. I'm sorry about that, when I said reserved, I didn't mean no one can post there. It was more of an announcement, and a spearhead to give me an excuse/push to FINALLY motivate me to get these last 2 immortal games posted (or I may never get around to it). I'll be doing them in a few parts, just to make it easier on me (cause I'm lazy).

And right now is the holidays, so I finally can get some games in too, after a few months of taking a long break myself. Thank God I don't drop down to Marathon or I'd only get maybe 1 game in a year :P

Anyhow, good write-ups seem to take longer than playing the actual game, and I think you'll know what I speak of very shortly...

I've have dome some small write up on some posts here.

But doing a GOOD throroughly writeup with all you wanted to say and comment on is going to take forever. All my ss's are 1280x1024, going to have to resize them to 124x768 for these boards -then link them to the whole picture. Sooo 2 uploads per pictures. Its def going to be a big job. I've done a sort of log in notepad about all the dates, and signicant events that happen while I'm playing. On my more detailed write-ups in threads like Loney hearts Club, the actually write-up too longer then the game itself (and making a worthwhile write-up I'm could take me forever, and I'll likey edit every post 4-5 times)

How you just makes a "post" that ends up being 4 pages of posts about your write ups? Do each post in a preview, then the results your copy to notepad, Untill you've done all your posts. Then copy/paste them all into your own forum?

And I'm guessing you don't mind I make my walkthrough similar in style to yours? Like having each date listed for a significant even such a new GP, or wonder completion?

Oh, and I'll de damn impressed if you can pull off a Deity walkthrough (I'll be working on my Own Diety Walkthrough as soon my post is finsihed for my current game - which likely will take a few weeks (unless I have time to rot on my computer). And it'll likely take me a few tries to win.. but from my limited Deity experience - I've learned some tricks which may prevent that :P

Yes, I just mostly type in MS Word, and then use copy-paste to speed up the transition onto the forum. Feel free to copy whatever style you want.

Right now I'm still itching for a warmongering Immortal, or SSE/WE Deity, just can't make up my mind. If lucky, maybe I can get to it in a week from now. Like I said, I have a few new ideas I really want to try out...
