Reaver Titan

After the Reaver, (I might re-do the animations for the original too) I'm planning on doing an Imperial Warhound Titan :love:

I might even release the model sometime in the future, and a Red Reaver that has no Civ-colour that I didn't Release, if someone really wants them.

Absolutely! I would love to have the non civ colored Reaver! BTW are we going to see some enemies of the Imperium in the future aka Gargants ;) :D ?

While you're at it, why not some WH40k tanks and what not? I'd LOVE a Shadowsword and a Land Raider.

Originally I did not plan to add civ-colours on the Reaver (the Red Reaver was going to be the release version) but a lot of people wanted civ-colours so I made two versions. I was worried that the shading on the civ-colour Reaver would suffer since there are only 16 useful civ-colour slots in a civ-unit palette, while my Red Reaver used 40 shades of red.

I made both, put them both in the game ... and couldn't tell the civ-colour Reaver (in red civ-colours) apart from the non-civ colour Reaver. So I only released the Civ-colour version.

I probably will not release the Red Reaver since you've all got a choice of 32 colours with the Civ-colour Reaver anyway :rolleyes: However, if someone's making a mod and requests the Red Reaver then I might post it somewhere for you to grab.
 
I can't imagine where I got the missile sounds from ;)

I've been bitten by the WH40k bug so I'm going to be making WH40k stuff for a while so no present-day stuff for a while :p However, many of the Imperial vehicals would not look out of place on a modern battlefeild, like the Basilisk, Manticore, Leman Russ, Rhino, Whirlwind and the like.

I can't promise anything - even the Warhound - since I have a bad habit of getting distracted and bored ;)

I did have a "Female Warrior" series of units going on ... but got bored after seven of them and started the reaver, even though I've got two more female fighters 95% complete on my hard-drive :rolleyes:

Knowing me, I'll build the model for the Warhound, do the animations, post the previews, render and build the storyboards, crate the civ-files and then ... get bored and start playing Operation Flashpoint again :lol:

You're getting really good muffins, this is one nice baby. Incidentally I happen to be the happy owner of the first reaver titan model to have been blessed by the machine god incarnation known af Gavin Thorpe :)
 
Awsome unit... No idea how to fit it into any civ mods I play but... MUST DOWNLOAD! The warhound, if you get around to doing it and if it turns out anything like this one -and I'm sure it will, looks like it'll be really cool... Can hardly wait.

What's different?

I fixed a silly palette error I made where some civ-colours apeared in places where they should not have (like the chainfist blade).

I fixed the problem with the top of the missile launcher getting chopped off in the north fortify view. This no-longer happens.

I fixed the problem with missile trails remaining on the animation frame when they should have disapeared. This was most visable when fireing SE.

Civ-colours have been limited to the weapon on the Reaver's back. This has allowed me to add a 'flash' to the missile attack.

I hope that this is an improvement :goodjob:
