Recalculate Modifiers

Whenever I tinker with settings and options in RoM and load a game I'd been playing previously, I get a prompt asking me to recalculate the new variables that are being used - which I obviously want to do. However, every time I do this I notice my gold and research plummets dramatically. Upon checking and re-checking the economics tab before and after doing the whole Ctrl+Shift+T thing, I found the reason why this happens: Buildings stop producing commerce entirely when the recalculations are done, and this persists across turns and even saves!

Is there any way around this? It's very game-breaking as far as I'm concerned

You should report this in SVN bug thread also. Ctrl+Shift+T is only way to fix research and some resources from razed cities that wont disappear otherwise.

Why is it, whenever there's an update, and when I choose to recalculate modifiers, do I ALWAYS lose money? My money earned per turn always goes down, never up, whenever I do an update. Why!! :>)

Relax fellow fan :) 45 just got back on his moddin computer, this is known bug and I am sure his trying to fixit.

Just did another update, and recalculated modifiers - and went from +440 per turn to -220 per turn. WTH? Why does this happen every time there's an update?!!!

Because there's something being miscalculated, most probably during the game than during recalc. I'm still looking for what's wrong.

Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm if Recalc is now functioning properly?
Another question is after change how will AI handle sudden decrease in everything?

EDIT:
I tried and after recalc was done all my cities lost access to power. If I remember correctly there was event that gave access.

Most probably your power grid needs a resources that you don't have anymore, possibly because you are trading it away. Which revision are you using? This kind of bug happened before rev1087 because there were some resources that were duplicated and recalc was removing double resources (hence if you're trading the double resource and you recalc, you lose access to that resource).

I am using v1087 and have all resources that may be needed - coal, iron and uranium.
My guess is event that gave me access to power for all cities is forgotten during recalc.I remember a bug that "forgot" great military instructors during revision upgrade/recals, but I am unsure if it is related.

EDIT:
Is recalc really neccessary during long games?I am using same revision, and I have only changed CIV4UnitInfos for better gameplay.

I can confirm recalc "forgets" events like "power for whole continent", and also bonuses gained for researching Future technologies.

Any chance someone will look into this?
