Recalculation - bug or intended?

When I recalculated my old game, the imcome decreases from +60 gold to -200 gold. Is there any huge change in the balance or is it the old bug already happened 5 versions before?

Any savegame from 5 versions back will see major changes in Gold, commerce and trade.

Don't panic after the re-calc as it takes about 2 more turns after the base values have been reset for the Modifiers to settle into the new pattern.

No, I mean that with each recalculation, through all versions, I always lose a huge amount of money. I tried different savegames and reinstalled Civ, but this didn't change anything. With each new version, I have to restart a new game if I want to update it because of the huge deficit. Btw, now its +60 to -400 after two more turns.
