The Almohads just don't know when to give up. They lay siege to Tangiers with two armeis of over 1000 men each.
The first army is whittled down by archers and crossbowmen.
Before being slaughtered by the infantry and calvalry.
The second army is mostly destroyed but many manage to flee.
We gained another famous battle marker!

King Metromonkey lands at Algiers and swiftly defeats the defending forces on the field.
The city was sacked with no further opposition.

Meanwhile Scamp II takes Marrakesh.
Scottland has been destroyed and England exocmmunicated for it.
Sirtommygun is killed when rioters storm the palace in Tangiers.
The capital is moved from leon to sunny and more centraly located Valencia.

One of the Almohad generals was going to get troops from near Algeirs to siege the city but was ambushed by most of the garrison before he could.
Fallback! Fallback! scream the Almohad troops employing their latest tactic.
The enemy general is dead!...

A costly battle, but there's only three enemy family members/generals left!

Sirtommygun II is adopted by someone!

The defending army of Timbuktu, eager for revenge and having spent too much time in the sun, march away from the city and are destroyed by Scamp II.
After losing about a third of their men to arrows bolts and javelins they employ tje "FALL BACK! FALL BACK!" tactic. This soon turned into a full on getting-slaughtered-by-calvalry-retreat.
The infantry is resting and enjoying the fact that they did not have to do any fighting in this heat. The calvalry on the other hand, has been doing hard work as evidenced by the large number of corpses.
Most of my casaulties, if not all, were caused by the enemy ballista. The remaining enemy troops disbanded and fled for their homes leaving Timbuktu guarded by only 3 units.
Meanwhile Captain 2 has layed siege to Casablanca. Sirtommygun II is somewhere in Iberia. I shall take Casablanca, Timbuktu, Tunis and Arguin in that order which will finish off the Almohads. After that I'll work on building improvements in my cities and take Corsica and Sardinia before deciding what to do next.
