Red spots appearing on map

For some reason big red spots have started to appear on plots on a map I've been playing. All of the plots are in the English civilization where the AI has placed railroad. Any help or ideas?

Apparently its not just this game. I started a new game and used worldbuilder to place railroads and red spots appeared again. Any advice?

I'm no expert on this stuff but it sounds like something is wrong with the railroad art. A clean install may resolve it, unless it's an issue with your graphics card in which ase updating its drivers might help.
