[NFP] Reduced frequency of aid request?

Just played one game after the June patch. I noticed that the frequency of Aid Request is greatly reduced in the Apocalypse mode. Before the patch, I often see 2-3 aid requests simultaneously in one special session in the world congress. Wining those aid requests makes DV the easiest victory type.

Now I often see none. Is this an undocumented change of the patch?

I've noticed this too in my current game. I'm doing an Apocalypse/Diplomatic game and on turn 130 I haven't had a single request. Disasters also seem to be few and far between.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I remember reading of hearing before the update that this change was coming, but I can’t find it now. It stood out because I was telling my wife about it the day after winning an apocalypse hot seat game with her by monopolizing the aid requests.
