That's hilarious!!! Suddenly, out of the blue, an ai civ explodes, all its cities self-destruct! Too funny!!!

i didnt go up a level in difficulty and i'm thinking i should have. i will next time. the elimination stipulation is a real but kicker. so far i'm really enjoying these new "functions". ive had PTW all this time and i never really tried these victory condition until now. it really makes the game fun and keeps it interesting. Yes, you need a higher difficulty to counter their molasses-growth with elimination.

Yeah, I'm glad of the extra victory conditions in PTW -- they really add value, when the plain version gets old. And being able to combine them is cool - elimination AND mass regicide...

well i got rid of the arabians for a second and final time. i tried to plant a spy in their capitol and they declared war on me. abu didnt stand a chance! a couple of my MA and poof, they disappeared for good.

on another note i am trying to help babylon and greece by giving them a bunch of gold and railroading all their squares and irrigating a couple and mining a couple and even giving them each a worker hoping they'll at least TRY to expand. so far they've created settlers but when they sent them out they didnt build a city. they just disappeared and i dont know why. i gave them each 10,000 gold so its not like they had to disband their settler. i even gave them each 3 luxuries.

so in an elimination game can you give a city to another civ or will that cause you to lose? i would think it'd be acceptable to if you gave another civ a city but i thought i'd ask first. i'm thinking the answer would be no.
