Regicide mode in this game just seems ridiculously easy. I mean, the king never moves, and if they survive long enough for you to get icbms :nuke: , they have no chance. Is there any way to make regicide harder? The easiest solution that comes to mind is having the AI actually evacuate their king in times of crisis. For example, if a volcano the AI built near is about to errupt, the king should move... In a game where I played as Korea (and won my first game on regent(yes, I'm a bit of a newb  ) ), a civ got destroyed because a) the civ built next to a volcano (stupid) and b) the king refused to move. Also, the king won't move when another civ attacks them either, which made it very easy to kill the enemy civs :satan:

Well, regicide isn't really intended for SP play. Mass-Regicide might be a better option, as the AI doesn't mind using those. But regicide was set up for MP games where the human is more than smart enough to move the king unit when it's threatened.

This is a pretty hard thing to solve. All I can think of is giving a king unit explore flag in the editor, probably want to get 1 movement instead of 2 to discourage too many AI explorations with their leader. Hopefully the AI just moves it back and forth and gets lucky enough not to blow up their leader on a volcano. As Turner 727 said, Mass Regicide is probably the best way to go.

I think Firaxis/Atari gave us Regicide/Mass Regicide for one reason: to remind us that on any difficulty level, the AI is stupid :rotfl: . It happens to be a good one.
