Reinstalling CIV4 and patches

Just wonder if i will reinstall civ4 i have to install all the patches (1.09,1.52 and 1.61) or i have simply to install 1.61?

You only need 1.61.

it is cumulative, you can install 1.61 over 1.00.

My question is will there be any dire effects installing 1.61 and playing my game that's already almost at the year 2000?

You might make a backup file so if it does happen to crash it you can revert to the patch you had and finish the game and then install the patch.
